The family pulled over to a rest stop and all got out. Momma said, "OK, Who's got to go to the bathroom? Who's hungry?" The rest stop was cool with all the restrooms and benches made of logs.
Momma prepared food while dad checked on the Brown Bomber. The bathrooms were horrible. It was a seat on a log and a deep dark hole. We ate lunch on the picnic tables.
Now Entering, Birmingham
Next rest stop is 1.5 miles from here
Byron complains about the toilets as Momma and Dad crack up. We pack our cooler and get on 1-75 to Ohio. I fall asleep as the Brown Bomber rocks me to sleep.
As I started to feel something wet going down my pants, I was real nervous. Luckily, it was Joey's drool. I heard dad saying he needed gas for the car and Momma didn't like it at all.
6000 feet above sea level and going to Birmingham. Momma thought it would take 15 hours to get there. There was another rest stop just ahead of us.
Dad got off 1-75 and the kids felt safe. They ate snacks when dad stuck his hand out the window and felt the cool breeze like silk and tickling "god's beard." while driving by.
