  • One lantern if by land, two lanterns if by sea
  • Thank you
  • We say the signals, Here is a horse for your ride
  • Paul Revere is telling Dr. Warren " One lantern if by land, two lanterns if by sea." to be hanged in the North Church. This tells Revere which way the Redcoats are coming to warn the Patriots. This a similarity to the poem by Longfellow.
  • After crossing the river Revere met with Colonel Conant. Conant told Revere about the signals and given him a horse. This is a difference because Revere was by him self, rowed himself and had his own horse.
  • There are five hundred American troops waiting for you.
  • On his way to Lexington, Revere is being chased by two British officers on horseback. This is a difference because in the deposition Revere is chased but in the poem he is not.
  • Bang!! Bang!!
  • Revere met up with Mr. Daws and Dr. Prescott to warn the Patriots the Redcoats are coming. This is a difference because in Longfellow's poem Revere is alone.
  • Paul Revere gets captured by redcoats. He tries to scare the redcoats so thet will let him go. This is a difference because in the poem Revere never got captured.
  • After being released and getting another horse, Revere goes to get Hancock's papers. When he goes to get Hancock's paper he hears the first gun shots. This is a similarity because in the poem it talks about the gun shots.
