Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • The village people all gather in the center of the town and prepare for the lottery. 
  • Conflict
  • When Bill Hutchison grabs his family's slip of paper, he soon becomes the center of attention of the town because his slip had something on it. Tessie, Bill's wife, then starts to yell that it wasnt fair.
  • Rising Action
  • Because Bill chose the paper that had the mark on it, everyone in his family had to draw a piece of paper. 
  • Climax
  • It comes to be Tessie's turn to pick a slip of paper and she finds out that she picked the slip with the dark spot on it.
  • Falling Action
  • Tessie starts to scream that it is not fair, but the villagers proceed with what has to be done. The villagers start to pick up stones and start to move towards Tessie.
  • Resolution
  • Tessie starts to scream as a stone hits her in the head and then the villagers descended upon her.
