  • "There's no release, no peace, I toss and turn without cease"
  • Did you know? Your mobile phone releases white light which restrains the production of Melatonin, the hormone that helps you sleep!
  • "Like a curse, open my eyes and rise like yeast"
  • You might think you have insomnia but using your phone or tablet before bed is actually affecting your sleep/wake cycle due to the suppression of Melatonin.

  • So your tossing and turning, why does that matter anyway? The disruption to your sleep cycle can increase the risk of obesity and diabetes, its also probably the reason you feel groggy!

  • Your phone pinging though the night? The thought of that last risky text on your mind? Cortisol is a hormone released when stress, a hormone that also wakes you up!   
  • "Gettin' stress, makin' excess mess in darkness" Your stressed and releasing Cortisol and also restraining the production of Melatonin. Congratulations you're confusing your sleep cycle!
  • Put down your phone at least 30 mins before you go to bed and you to can "dream of Makin' mad love to your girl on the heath" Have some faith, you can get some sleep!
