Storyboard Text

  • In the fifteen hundreds the catholic church was very corrupt and took many bribes.
  • Is that enough?
  • No, to go to heaven you need at least double that.
  • In 1517 a man named Martin Luthor decided that he would not stand for the corrupted ways of the church. And he nailed his complaints or thesis right on a huge cathedrals door.
  • I WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS!
  • Martin Luther than despised the corrupted ways of the Roman Catholics so much that he started his own church under his teaching.
  • Guys I have an idea!
  • Armed with his new religion Martin Luther set out to preach his views of Sola Scriptora and Sola Fide.
  • Scripture alone Faith alone!
  • The Catholic Church realized that people started converting to the Protestant faith. This realization lead to a led to a spring cleaning of sorts for all the priests and staff.
  • WE NEED A CHANGE NOW!
  • This is getting out of hand.
  • The Catholic Churches solution for the Protestant Reformation was the council of Trent. In this council, the Church both clarified what it teaches and made sure that the corrupt ideas that had come from them were eliminated.
  • I have realized that the church needs a big change.
