many African American families were not agreeing with the separation of blacks in public schools
not to mention the difference conditions of black schools vs. white schools. black schools were often much less attractive or as functional compared to white schools
Court case ends May 17th, 1954, three years after it began . the final decision going to brown, and the Jim crow laws of separate but equal were labeled unconstitutional, and segregation in schools would be no more.
