  • WHERE DO THE VOTES GO: The votes go the state house of each state.
  • Yeah, we don't know where they are!
  • Do you know how many Electoral votes the President gets?

  • HOW MANY ELECTORAL VOTES DOES EACH STATE GET: The number of electoral votes is the sum of the number of reps and two senators for each state. The candidate who gets the most popular votes gets all the electoral votes from that state - winner takes all.
  • HOW MANY ELECTORAL VOTES ARE THERE FOR THE USA: There are 100 senators, 435 reps, and 3 votes from DC that total 538 electoral votes in the USA.

  • WHO MAKES UP THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE: Electors are members of the electoral college who are people chosen in each state who gather to cast their ballots for the President and Vice President of the USA.
  • HOW MANY ELECTORAL VOTES ARE NEEDED TO BECOME PRESIDENT: The candidate who gets at least 270 votes becomes President.

  • WINNER TAKES ALL: The popular votes does not always choose the President. Sometimes, the Elector's votes are different from the votes of the people and the winner is the Elector's choice. When this happens, the popular votes don't count.
  • I am happy to be the first woman President.
