Storyboard Text

  • When Walter talks about the liquor store in act one scene one, Ithink it sets up like the whole story and how his self esteem of the whole story reflects on this.
  • "yeah you see. this little liquor store we got in mind cost seventy-five thousand and we figured that the initial investment on the place be 'bout thirty thousand..."
  • In this part of the story, I think it sets up like an idea for Mama on how to use the money like buying the house later in the story
  • "well, i guess from all the happy faces everybody knows"
  • "you pregnant?"
  • "...come here, travis. you know that money we got in the mail this morning?
  • "...she went out and bought you a house!"
  • When Mama tells everyone in their family that she has bought the house, it make everyone think that they have some sort of hope but Walter is like unhappy by this.
  • "Yes 'm"
  • "i paid the man thirty-five hundred dollars down on the house. That leaves sixty-five thousand hundred dollars...The rest you put in a checking account with your name on it"
  • "You trust me like that, Mama?"
  • When Mama gives the money to Walter i think this makes the story longer and more interesting but its more like you know whats going to happen next!
  • When Karl Lindner shows up its a big deal because he is trying to make the Youngers not move in with give them more money and influencing them. And it makes the Youngers think again. Is it a good idea to move in??
  • "people can get awful worked up when they feel than their whole way of life an everything they've ever worked for is threatened."
  • "Get out."
  • This moment in the story really closes the story really nice. Its how it starts and how it ends but when they move out of their apartment completly makes them feel acomplsished.
  • "All right, honey-go down. i be down directly"
