Meet Charles VII.
In 1412, Joan of Arc was born in Domremy, France to a poor family
As a child, Joan would frequently have religious visions. One of these visions told her to meet Charles VII, who was supposed to be the king of France.
Joan of Arc rode to Charles' throne in Chinon. She had to dress as a man to blend in with crowds as well, since people would be suspicious of a woman travelling on a horse alone.
She met with Charles. After a long conversation, Charles gave Joan a horse, a set of armor, and the right to fight with the French army.
In May, 1430, rogue French captured Joan and turned her over to British Church officials, who insisted she be tried as a heretic
