  • Odysseus and his men come upon the island of the Cyclopes
  • The cyclops grab Odysseus's men and starts killing/eating them
  • "They fell in, soon enough, with Lotus Eaters, who showed no will do us harm, only offering the sweet lotus to our friends- but those who ate the honeyed plant, the lotus, never cared to report, nor to return." (Homer, Page 897 41-45)
