Storyboard Text

  • The Conservatives met in Philadelphia on May 25, 1787, met to compromise the new Constituition
  • Of course, due to our current need to fix the Articles, we cannot afford to have "Pleasent Arguments"
  • My fair gentlemen, we come here today to discuss the constitution. how we can make it stronger for the good of the states
  • Just to make sure the "Lovable" rebels cannot get in we have taken precautions to guard the doors
  • Due to the peaceful nature of the meeting the conservatives were able to draft the constitution without the harmful arguments of the opposition
  • We can all agree that the states are harming us as a whole nation by not paying taxes. They might feel that their independence is jeopardized, but our debts are jeopardizing us all.
  • Regardless of how the revolutionaries my feel, the Articles of Confederation are far too weak to help govern us all.
  • Of course, the revolutionaries will be angered that they did not receive an invitation, but would the constitution be as sound as it turned out if they were present?
  • For the good of this country, we must act accordingly. Not listening to the hostility of revolutionaries, but the sound of a new constitution, a stronger constitution being born!
