Now we are below the earth's surface.
It's weathering of rocks
How is soil part of the rock cycle?
When magma pushes to the surface, the volcano erupts.
This is our last stop and we better hurry!
Soil is formed from the weathering of rocks. It is made of mineral, organic materials and living organisms.
Wow. Look at the Kilauea Volcano. Heat from the Earth turns any rock into magma. This is called Melting. Later magma crystallizes and will cool to form Igneous Rocks.
Our last visit is to Badlands National Park. It's the most Sedimentary Rocks that we've ever seen in one place. Wasn't it fun to see the whole rock cycle?
