Storyboard Text

  • Lara arrives at her new house in brisbane, at first to her it feels like a strange new place full of strange new people.
  • This is kinda weird, living in a new place!
  • Lara gets enrolled in a new school in the final weeks of year ten, she arrives at the new school and gets excluded because most of the students have known each other since prep and have formed their own friendships. she used to be a very dedicated student and got very good marks and was well respected by the teachers, but now her marks have started slipping and she is skipping classes to avoid sitting alone.
  • This feels weird going to a different school!
  • then a group of girls approach her and started to be real friendly, but this group of girls are frequently in trouble with the teachers and don't really care about their education.
  • Just to let you know Lara, we don't really care about school work!
  • Laras parents are worried about how much their daughter has changed and are regretting moving, her parents are very busy establishing  a new business and house and are needing Lara to help and take on more responsibilities at home, but instead Lara has become defiant and argumentative and doesnt help a lot, it is also essential that she continues to do well in school if she is going to work in their business when she leaves school.
  • im really worried about Lara, she has really changed since we moved.
  • Yes and she never helps my with stuff around the house anymore!
  • Lara is feeling pressure from all around her, she is feeling pressure from her new friends to just enjoy life and not worry about personal responsibilities. and she is feeling pressure in her parents and teachers to make good choices in her subjects for year eleven and twelve, and she is also feeling pressure in her increased responsibilities at home.
  • i think Lara should find a new friend that is dedicated to their school work but is still fun and a good friend, and she should start studying really hard so she can get good results, she should also respect her teachers and parents, and start helping her parents again. If she gets a good, dedicated and polite friend, the friends good attitude will reflect on Laras personality and she will be a good and helpful kid again.
  • I'm so glad to have a new friend!
