Once the operator manages to get Mrs. Stevenson onto a call with Murray Hill 4-0098, she overhears an ongoing conversation. The conversation seems to be between 2 men, one of them named George. Mrs. Stevenson then asks who is part of the call, wondering where her husband is, but it seems as if they do not hear her. As the two men continue talking Mrs. Stevenson learns that a murder will be taking place that night around her for some client.
Hello? This is the police department, how may we help you? Is everything well?
Mrs. Stevenson, still trying to fathom the idea that a murder will soon be taking place nearby, begins to panic. During this state of uneasiness, sounds begin to come from downstairs. Mrs. Stevenson then realizes that the men that she overheard earlier were after her. Once she notices this fact, she quickly dials and calls the police department's number.
*ring, ring, ring *ring ring ring
*gasp, OH NO THEY'RE HERE! I'M THE TARGET! QUICKLY, I HAVE TO CALL THE POLICE!
*knock knock knock *ring ring ring
While trying to reach the police department, someone opens Mrs. Stevenson's door. She does not recognize this person and is clearly terrified and confused. This person begins to approach her, making her grow evermore nervous. As this person creeps closer Mrs. Stevenson begins to scream, however her screams are drowned out by a nearby passing train. Then, the screaming suddenly stops.
Wha- who are you? What are you doing? WAIT NO DON'T! AAHHHHHH!
Mrs. Stevenson's phone finishes ringing and the police department is on the line. The police department then asks what is going on and if everything is okay. A man's hand then reaches for the phone. He responds to the police department stating that the call was a mistake and says that he will not make the same mistake again. With new assurance, the police department responds to the man saying that it was fine, and to have a nice evening. Although, there is no sound or sight of Mrs. Stevenson.
