  • In 1774, John Adams and Samuel Adams met in Philadelphia along with delegates from each state to talk about boycotting British goods. 
  • Freedom from British power!
  • We should plan a meeting with the delegates about boycotting British goods...
  • The Congress was fed up with the "Intolerable Acts" and decided to write a letter of 10 resolutions to present to the king.
  • Dear King George, ~~~~~~ ~~~~~~ ~~~ ~~
  • The First Continental Congress decided if the King didn't get back to them by May 10, 1775  then they would call for a second meeting. This second meeting then lead to the creation of the Declaration of Independance.
