The Congress was fed up with the "Intolerable Acts" and decided to write a letter of 10 resolutions to present to the king.

The First Continental Congress decided if the King didn't get back to them by May 10, 1775 then they would call for a second meeting. This second meeting then lead to the creation of the Declaration of Independance.
