On March 5th,1770, the Patriots began protesting against the Townshend, British Taxation and The Stamp Act.
The loyalists lost control of the protesters and threatened to shoot, when the crowd spiraled out of control the loyalists then began to fire killing 5 men.
Patriots saw the firing at the men as murder, they couldn't handle losing 5 men. This eventually caused more protesting against loyalists.
