  • EXPOSITION
  • im from earth and ive seen the sun.
  • no you haven't you are lying
  • CONFLICT
  • i didn't lie the sun is coming please dont lock me in the closet
  • You lied about the sun coming out get in the closet.
  • Lets go out and play!
  • RISING ACTION
  • Hey look its not raining
  • i feel like we are forgetting something.
  • This story takes place in a class room on the rainy planet of Venus.  There are two main characters in this story. The first character is a shy girl from earth, who claims to have seen the sun, named Margot.  William, the antagonist, is a boy born on Venus and the class bully.
  • CLIMAX
  • MARGOT!
  • The conflict arises when William doesnt believe Margot about the sun. As a not very thought out joke, they lock Margot in a closet. The other kids go along with William, helping lock her in the closet.
  • FALLING ACTION
  • shes still in there...
  • But, the children where wrong, and the clouds parted and the sun came out.  The kids where, of course, very happy. They rushed out, joyful that the sun was out.
  • RESOLUTION
  • is it gone?
  • After the sun had hid once again, The children realized their mistake. They had let poor Margot in the closet. Overwhelmed with guilt they went to let her out.
  • Oh no you're right!
  • What about her??
  • We forgot her!
  • When they go inside they go to free the poor imprisoned girl. The children feel bad knowing how much seeing the sun meant to her. What was meant as a simple became so much more.
  • lets let her out.
  • Margot said little as she was freed. The children look at her in silence. Guilt consumes them. 
  • yes.
