Storyboard Text

  • In 1964-1968 blacks and whites didn't get along, whites thought they were better than blacks and didn't treat them as equals.
  • You don't belong here get out!
  • Don't you know this area is for whites only! I should call the police.
  • I'm so sorry sir please don't.
  • During this time blacks didn't have the same rights as whites, and had worse things than whites.
  • Sometimes things got out of hand such as one time in Birmingham, Alabama there was a church bombing.
  • There were people like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who spent there life trying to have equal rights.
  • We must act in peace not violence, the fighting will only make things worse for us.
  • Finally the Civil Rights Act was passed in 1964 which ended segregation.
  • I wanted to say sorry for the way I treated you in the past.
  • At last blacks and whites are living together in peace.
