Storyboard Text

  • You mustn't! I, Athena goddess of wisdom tell you it isn't wise.
  • I'm thinking of smoking
  • Smoking is bad. All products cigarettes/cigars/pipes/kreteks/bidis contain nicotine, tar and carbon Monoxide, 3 harmful chemicals. Nicotine gets you addicted. Tar coats your lungs creates breathing problems and gives you many sicknesses. Carbon Monoxide harms your good health. It has dangerous physiological effects. Not to mention history has shown smoking in the true bad light.
  • Why not?
  • Yes.  In 1492 European explorers started smoking regularly. From 1530-1600  Jean Nicot proclaims Nicotine to have medicinal properties. In 1590, Pope VII bans smoking. From 1914-1918 millions of cigarettes (of popular brands) were sent to soldiers, and a tobacco shortage developed. In 1939 President Roosevelt declared tobacco a protected crop. In 1965,  President Lyndon B Johnson signed a law showing tobacco is bad for health. In 1971 Cigarettes advertisements were banned from TV/ Radio. Lastly, in 1990 California banned smoking being the 1st state to do so
  • Really?
  • As you can see, smoking will do you more harm than good. It is commonly known that once you start smoking it is hard to stop. Hence, no matter how cool you might think it to be I advise you not to even start smoking.
  • Good for you mortal.
  • Now that you showed me the light oh goddess of wisdom, I will think of stopping smoking.
  • Uhm
  • What?!
