The girls in the village were conjuring spirits in the forest and Parris saw them as they danced and Abigail drank blood.
"She drank blood, she drank blood!"
After they were found in the forest, Betty goes into a coma and doesn't wake up, except during random times to mumble things.
"Your name in the town - it is entirely white, is it not?"
"She is blackening my name in the village! She is telling lies about me! She is a cold, sniveling woman, and you bend to her! "
John and Abigail meet after she was kicked out of their house by his wife, for she was having an affair.
"They [his books] must be; they are weighted with authority."
Reverend Hale comes into town with heavy books to examine Betty and find answers.
"I don't compact with no devil"!
Abigail exclaims that Tituba was doing witchcraft in the woods; therefore, Parris and Hale went to her to get the truth and find out what's happening in Salem.
After Tituba admits to the truth and asks for God's grace in her life, they take her to Betty. There she almost admits the girls involvement in the conjuring, but then everyone starts yelling out innocent names for witchcraft.
