Storyboard Text

  • But soon after Paris was born the king and queen heard a prophecy saying "Paris would make Troy fall". In response to this prophecy they abandoned him on a hill. He was later found by a shepherd.
  • King Priam and Queen Hecuba of Troy had had a son, his name was Paris.
  • Peleus, king of Phthia was marrying Thetis (a sea nymph).
  • Etis, the goddess of spite threw a golden apple towards the wedding, inscribed on it is said: "for the fairest".Athena, Aphrodite and Hera started arguing about who was the fairest.
  • They asked Zeus but Zeus knowing the other two would be angry asked Paris to judge between them.
  • It is me!
  • Paris was guarding his cattle when the three goddesses came up to him. They each tried to bribe him, Athena said she would bring him victory and wisdom, Hera said she would give him power and wealth, Aphrodite said Paris would gain the love of the most beautiful woman in the world. Paris chose Aphrodite.
  • Paris went to Sparta and took Helen (the most beautiful woman in the world at that time) to Troy with him.
