  • Us housing these soldiers is outragoes!!
  • Yes indeed it is.
  • Writs of Assistance
  • I have signed documentation to search this boat.
  • Sugar Act
  • Did you hear about the sugar tax? No. what is it? A tax on sugar.
  • A law where British troops were housed and fed by American colonist. The colonist did not like this because they felt that it violated their rights.
  • Stamp Act
  • The taxtes for these papers are crazy. You can say that again.
  • Special search warrants where whoever possessed them had the right to search any ship. Warrants did not have expiration date leaving them to search every and any ship that they wanted to. Colonist believed that this violated their rights.
  • Declaratory Act
  • How are they going to tax us if we are all the way over here?!! It makes no sense
  • A law taxing sugar. Colonist were upset because of the unexpected taxes they had to pay.
  • Townshend Act
  • I hate these new laws. Me too.
  • A tax passed by British parliament where they had to pay a tax on every piece of printed paper.  Colonist were upset about this. 
  • Gave Britain the right to tax the Americas. Colonist disliked this.
  • A series of laws passed by the British government on the American colonies. They placed new taxes and took away some freedoms. Colonist did not like this.
