Victor is the mad scientist because he wanted to create life, but instead, created a monster. He also wanted to be the greatest scientist in the world." It was on a dreary night of November that I beheld the accomplishment of my toils. With an anxiety that almost amounted to agony, I collected the instruments of life around me, that I might infuse a spark of being into the lifeless thing that lay at my feet."
Monster Frankenstein's Monster
Henry Cerval is the creator's side-kick because he always stood by Victor's side in times of need. He was there for him right after he created the monster to check on him because he thought Victor was ill. "But, my dear Frankenstein,’ continued he, stopping short and gazing full in my face, ‘I did not before remark how very ill you appear; so thin and pale; you look as if you had been watching for several nights."
Father-Figure Victor's Father
Justine Moritz is the virtuous woman because she pleaded guilty when she wasn't and took the blame for something that wasn't her fault. She knew they were going to find her guilty anyway, so she took the blame. "‘My cousin,’ replied I, ‘it is decided as you may have ex- pected; all judges had rather that ten innocent should suffer than that one guilty should escape. But she has confessed."
Victor's monster is the monster because he kills innocent people because Victor didn't like him. It made him angry that his creator didn't even like his own creation, so he killed his family and friends to get back at him. "Frankenstein! you belong then to my enemy--to him towards whom I have sworn eternal revenge; you shall be my first victim."
Victor's father Alphonse Frankenstein was Victor's father figure because he always gave good advice to Victor when needed. He made sure Victor felt better. ". For some time I was lost in conjecture as to the cause of this, but yesterday an idea struck me, and if it is well founded, I conjure you to avow it. Reserve on such a point would be not only useless, but draw down treble misery on us all."
