Mrs. Walter finds her daughter, Liz, crying in the bathroom with a gun at her side. If Lily would have called any later, Liz would have taken her life. Mrs. Walter calms Liz down, takes the gun out of her possession, and immediately seeks help for her.
"Everything will be all right, Liz. We are going to find help for you from professionals."
After a stay at a mental health facility, Liz has become mentally stable enough to take visitors and go home shortly, with frequent appointments with a mental health profession and prescribed medication for depression. Lily is the first to visit and talks with Mrs. Walter before seeing Liz.
"Lily, I can't thank you enough for recognizing and telling me of Liz's intentions to harm herself. Even though she may have been mad at the time, you saved her life, and neither of us will ever be able to repay you."
"Again, thank you! We are taking necessary action to discipline the bullies with the police involved. Liz has been getting help from a mental health professional and is wishing to see you."
"As her best friend, it's my job to help her with anything and always do what's best for her."
"Thank you so much for saving my life. I'm forever grateful for you and now realize all the great things I have and would never want to leave or give up. Suicide is not the solution for any problem, Liz."
