  • Help us. 
  •    All the men go outside to play a friendly competition containing different events, which all the men are very competitive. Euryalos insults Odysseus for turning down the competition and relating him to a merchant trader. With a little help from Athene, he out throws all the competitors and winning the throwing of the discus. This relates to a theme of pride because Odysseus shows pride when he accepts the Phaiakian's challenge when they insult him.
  •   The story of Aphrodite and Ares is told through Demodokos playing his lyre, they are caught by Hephaistos and trapped.
