Akhtar Hussain Rana was an 11 year old boy who lived in the Bagora village and grew up learning the ways of the Rajput clan under his father.
When the Partition split India, Rana's land owning cousin, Rai Muhammad Khan, was attacked. Khan and the three women in Khan's house were killed.
Rana's family heard about the murders and quickly grabbed guns to go fight the men. The gun fight ended with the police killing the men in the house and the house being burnt down the following day.
Rana and his family went to their home in Bogra, but they knew it was only a matter of time before they were attacked. The family left their home in search of a new one in Pakistan.
On his journey Rana stopped at the village of Tirchian where he heard news that villages were being burnt to the ground and people were being slaughtered. Akhtar Hussain Rana was scared for the road ahead.
In the end everything turned out alright for Akhtar Hussain Rana. Rana went through school, graduated university, and later married a woman named Akhtar Bibi
