  • The empty one or the full one?
  • Newtons 3rd Law
  • I need to dribble this basketball.
  • But how do I make the ball come back to me?
  • Newtons 1st Law says that an object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion unless acted on by an unbalance force.
  • 1st Law
  • Newtons 2nd Law says that bigger objects require more force to accerlerate
  • 2nd Law
  • Newtons 3rd law says for every action there is a reaction force equal in strength and opposite in direction
  • 3rd Law
  • The ball sits at rest until kicked, creating an unbalanced force. By the ball being kicked, it changes its motion.
  • I had to kick the ball in order for my ball to move into the goal.
  • The empty cart went faster than the full one. Because the full cart had more items in it, it had more mass which caused it to go slower than the empty one.
  • The equal force that acted on the basketball and the boys hand when he pushed it to the ground caused the force react and the ball to come back up in the opposite direction.
  • I needed a certain amount of force for the ball to bounce back to me
