Storyboard Text

  • You let yourself become weak and cowardly when you think like this. Go get some water and wash the blood off your hands. Why do you still have that dagger? Go take it back and smear the guards with blood.
  • Coward! Give me the dagger. Dead and sleeping people can't hurt you. If Duncan bleeds I'll paint the servants faces with blood. They must seem guilty.
  • There's no way I can go back. I can't stand to look at what I did.
  • A sound of knocking occurs offstage
  • What's that knocking? Every noise frightens me. Whose hands are these? Will all the water in the ocean clean these hands? No, they'll stain the green sea red
  • My hands are as red as yours but I'd be ashamed if my heart was as weak. Listen! Someone's knocking at the south entry. Put on your nightgown and a little water will wash away all the evidence of our crime.
  • I'd rather be unconscious than think about my crime. Whoever is knocking, I wish you could wake Duncan with your knocking.
