“Sure but only if I can ask you a couple of questions about Earth" “Sure, Liquid water appears to flow from some steep, relatively warm slopes on the Mars surface. Water can be stuck within ice caps."
“Can I ask you something?” “All Right Deal” “Can you tell me where your water comes from?”
“ Whoa, that is amazing! It is not that complicated on Earth." "It would give us many opportunities, but what we mainly would use it for is transfer freshwater back to Earth. Because only 2.5% of Earth's water is fresh so it would be really helpful, and probably help a lot of third world countries, like where i am from.”
“ Okay my turn to ask a question.” “ What will you guys use the water that you find on different places for?”
“Well, the salt that’s found on Mars can make liquid water go to very low temperatures. Thoese are called perchlorates. They are not good for your health. It is not safe to drink the saline water that might be present on Mars water. But it might be okay if you guys have technology to sterilize it in the future.”
" Okay, my turn". "Is your water drinkable?"
"So what your saying is that your going to take all the water from here??
“Okay then what about the 326 million trillion gallons of water you have on earth? If you have so much water there why you did you come here?”
"There will be a good amount of water left for your family." "And there is barely any water left on Earth."
Oh, okay good! Because I need to bring it home.
"If you keep treating your water poorly how will it be in the future?"
"The water at home the water is not clean enough."
"I know. Global warming is causing glaciers to melt everywhere. When ice caps melt all that water travels into the ocean causing sea levels to rise. This will make the water cover majority of the land and cause reconstruction to the area and make it smaller. It’s too complicated to go back and fix it now.”“
