Henry's master said "you are a good worker Henry. I'm giving you to my son." This tells us he is giving Henry to his son.
"Henry was lonely. One day he met Nancy who was shopping for her mistress. They agreed to meet each other again." This is telling us that they are going to see each other often.
Let's meet here tomorrow
...I'm afraid my master will sell our kids.
"But Nancy was worried... her master had lost a great deal of money. I'm afraid he will sell our children. she said." This is telling us that they might lose their children.
"His friend James came in to the factory. He whispered to Henry, ' Your wife and children were just sold at the slave market.'" This tells us that James just witnessed that nis friends family was sold.
"Henry was still upside down. Blood rushed to his head. His face got hot and his eyes ached. He thought his head would explode." This tells us that Henry was upside down for a long time.
"... Henry are you ok in there Henry? He heard a voice ask him. I'm in here! he shouted back." This tells the reader that Henry has arrived in philadelphia and is free.
