  • Siddartha lives inside a palace where he can’t go outside the walls of his palace because his father doesn’t want him to see all of the outside of India.
  • Meditation
  • Siddartha snuck out during night and saw people suffering and he thought he had to do something about it.
  • Enlightenment
  • Siddartha travels somewhere, giving up his life of luxury, where he can think about the meaning of life.
  • Spread of Buddhism
  • Siddartha went under a tree and meditated for 7 weeks until he finally found enlightenment. He also dressed in rags, didn’t eat, and he aged.
  • Siddartha was meditating one day, when he finally realizes it. He had found enlightenment. He realizes that everyone suffers. So he then traveled, gaining followers that went with his actions.
  • When Siddartha Gautama died, his followers decided to spread his teachings to everyone.
