  • Hey there, How is it going?
  • George is an average man living his life in the 1920's. One day he went to buy a drink with alcohol, but he remembered what prohibition was. Prohibition was an act placed by the government for people to not buy, sell, or make any alcohol. Because of prohibition, George and others couldn't drink alcohol.
  • Speakeasies
  • What is that?
  • Meanwhile, in Washington D.C women now have the right to vote  thanks to the 19th amendment. Women now can do more things like go to parties, get a better job, wear different clothes, the list goes on.
  • Gangsters
  • After not being able to go to a drink at the bar, George decided to go to a club. There he met a women named Ruby, who called herself a Flapper. A Flapper was a woman who intended on enjoying herself by going to parties. George approached Ruby and asked her if she wanted to go dance.
  • I am well, say you want to go grab a drink?
  • After dancing for awhile, George noticed a door he had not seen before.  George noticed the door had a speakeasy behind it. Speakeasys were illegal bars, that usually required a password that was said through a sliding piece on the door. Luckily for George, the door was left open and George walked in.
  • I believe it is a Speakeasy.
  • George walked down some stairs and saw something he could not believe. George saw gangsters making their own alcohol. Gangsters are a group of people who commit crimes, or are a part of a gang who do things that are bad. At the time, making, selling, or buying alcohol was illegal. The gangsters saw George and approached him with weapons.George made the quick choice and ran so he would not get hurt
