Storyboard Text

  • Few! We escaped the lava
  • Does that mean the lava solidified?
  • Now you can see how the lava tubes were formed, when the rivers of lava confined to a valley crusted over and formed a roof.
  • Yes, the lava flow carried on for tens of kilometres before draining out, leaving an empty tube of lava
  • Lets go have a look inside!
  • But then weaker sections of the roof collapsed to form caves and depressions.
  • Does the lava tube have a granitic basement?
  • Was that a micro bat I just saw?
  •
  • Yes it does, that's what makes it so unique!
  • Yes it would of been, as the tubes contain specialised ecosystems and is one of the worlds most important biologically diverse caves
  • Unfortunately class, that's the end of story time! But I hope you had a lot of fun coming on this wild adventure with me, learning about "The Creation of the Lava Tubes"
  • That was so much fun! I loved learning about the lava tubes
  • No! I don't want to leave this incredible place.
  • That was so cool. Who would of thought that's how the lava tubes were created!
