  • Draw, if you be men. Gregory, remember thy swashing blows.
  • A right fair mark, fair coz, is soonest hit.
  • Well, in that hit you miss. She'll not be hit With Cupid's arrow. She hath Dian's wit, And, in strong proof of chastity well armed, From love's weak childish bow she lives unharmed.
  • The Montague and Capulet family get into another quarrel in the streets. (Page 1040)
  • Saints do not move; though grant for prayer's sake.
  • Then move not while my prayer's effect I take. Thus from my lips by thine my sin is purged.
  • Benvolio tries to counsel Romeo, but he is too depressed at the time. (Page 1044)
  • Count Paris, a young Nobleman, asking for permission to marry his daughter, Juliet. Capulet says that Juliet is too young but gives Paris permission to court her and try to win her heart. (Page 1046)
  • Go ask his name.-If he be married, My grave is like to be my wedding bed.
  • ... HIs name is Romeo, and a Montague, the only son of your great enemy.
  • Romeo unwillingly goes to the party, where he falls in love with Juliet, Capulet's daughter. They talk and flirt throughout the party. (Page 1060)
  • "[kisses her] Juliet: You kiss by the book." (Page 1061)
  • Romeo leaves the party and Juliet asks the Nurse who he was. She explains that his a Montague, his father most hated by her father. (Page 1062)
