21st Century Lit. Final pt. 2

"After I got past the main doors to the vault, I was home free. 'The Prophet' told me that the E-Sense mainframe was just down the hall, and he would guide me through the steps required to free my sister, and everyone else who have been 'Treated'. Little did I know what I would have to do..."
"Once arrived at the core room, 'The Prophet' radioed in, and informed me of something rather unsettling. I was told that if I wanted to free my sister, I would have to never see her again. I would have to hook my mind up to the core, and stay connected to it for eternity. After some time of thinking about it, I hooked myself up to core, and thought of my sister being free..."
"The last thing I remember was seeing the rest of the city freed out of the view of a camera. I was part of the system. I WAS the system. I had control over the entire E-Sense computer. What ever I said, it would do. I could make sure none of this ever happens again!"
"'The Prophet' and the rest of the outsiders were let back into the city. The city got a new leader, and a rather good one at that. My sister was informed of my efforts, but was sad because she would never see me again. The rest of the city was now free to express happiness, not out of fear, but out of true joy.
"As for me... I gained a new sense of enlightenment. I was able to watch over the citizens of this city. 'The Prophet' may be there to guide them, but I am here to protect them. And with that. I am at bliss."
After his efforts, the city returned to a semi-"normal" state. The people were free, and they were truly happy. Though he will never return to a normal life, he will always be remembered as a true hero, and the savior of this city.
