Hello! Today we're going to be exploring the renal and nervous systems of the human body.
We'll start with the renal system, which is the body's way of removing wastes from the blood.
The first part of the renal system is the renal artery and renal vein.
The renal artery carries dirty blood to the kidneys, while the vein takes clean blood to the heart.
The next part of this system is the two kidneys. The kidneys filter blood and remove wastes.
Removed wastes are transported to the rest of the system, while the blood is carried to the heart.
The waste, known as urine or pee, is next transported through the ureters.
The ureters are tubes that move the urine to the urinary bladder.
The urinary bladder is hollow and stretches. Its function is to store urine.
This process is known as urination.
The last part of the renal system is the urethra, a tube that carries urine outside the body.
