I am slowly slipping away
In an effort to prevent an extensive loss of money, Napoleon made many decisions. He developed an efficient tax system and Established the Bank of France. He also developed the Napoleonic Code to create equality in laws. Napoleon also established many schools that were very benefictial.
The Pope and Napoleon came upon a necessary agreement and called it the Concordat. The Concordat stated that although most of the French people were Roman Catholic, they were not required to be because of religious tolerence.
Some of Napoleon's ideas remained in the French Government which allowed his legacy to be continued. Two of his ideas that stayed, were a representative system of government and equality of law. The spread of Nationalism was greatly influenced by Napoleon's reign.
