For Whites Only!
When King states that he hopes "the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners...", he is trying to influence the crowd by stating that he is a noble man who wants unity, and at the same time, instills his values on the crowd.
When King mentions his "four little children", he is appealing to the audiences' emotions. By bringing children into the speech, he makes the audience think about their own children, and how they are mistreated everywhere.
King appeals to logic during his speech by backing up his claim that life is miserable for blacks with many pieces of evidence, one of them being that blacks are often faced with "For Whites Only" signs.
