After a lifetime of known one position, his entire world changes when he gets to college ball. His coach changes his position which holds him back and gives him a terrible rookie season experience. After a lot of thought, over summer he persevered and overcame his barriers to prove people wrong that he can pitch at the college level. Not only does he succeed at this but also excels in it.

First day of college ball, coach converts him to a pitcher, a position he does not know and is slow to learn at.
Frustrated with the season, coach, and position. He becomes isolated and upset with his current and future position for baseball.
Over summer ball, he decides to work at the art of pitching and excels at it. Teammates hype him up and the season improves his skills. This gets him ready for his returning season of college ball.
Surprised, the coach is impressed with the improvement since the last time he saw him. He earns an important spot on the team as an important pitcher on the team. Chip on his shoulder led him to success.
