  • Ancient Rome was shaped as a boot. Ancient Rome was also smack dab in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. Ancient Rome was located in Italy on a peninsula .
  • Influence of Etruscan Sports
  • Romulus and Remus´s mom was a princess. Their moms uncle did not want one of the two boys to take the throne after he was gone so he ordered some of his men to drown them in the Tiber River. But before the basket could tip over an drown the boys a  nearby wolf heard their cry's and saved them from drowning.
  • Influence of Greek Architecture
  • The ancient Romans adjusted the Etruscan structures which were arches and cinctulus. A cinictulus is an underground irrigation system.
  • Influence of Greek Art, Religion, and Writing
  • They had slave fights. Slaves fights were after the master died 2 of the slaves he owned would fight each other at the funeral. They would fight to death and after being congratulated the winner would be executed. These  Roman slave fights were also known as gladiator fights 
  • The romans used Greek designs in their own public places. They used concrete to build staduims such as the Roman collusium which is where gladiator fights took place.
  • The Romans borrowed the Etruscan alphabet and borrowed it and changed it.  The Romans admired Greek pottery. The Romans followed Etruscan rituals when they were founding their cities but they used Greek religion for their ideas about the gods.
