Storyboard Text

  • Wide angle of women speaking- introducing the podcast. Her mood is solemn and the music is quiet and reflective. Sound effect, magical chime to signal start of podcast.
  • Close-up of speaker reading "To Our Little Readers".  Music gives a feeling of tension and suspense. Speakers voice is cautiously hopeful.
  • Wide angle of Abolitionist, then pan to crowd and do close-up of crowd.  Abolitionist has a look of determination. Crowd is nervous, awaiting instructions.  Music is suspenseful but positive.
  • Close-up of speaker as she continues to read, until the letter "Y".  Her voice shows determination and she looks straight into the camera.  The same choice of music continues.
  • Switch to wide angle view of scene with zealous angry man, pleading to the people of the town. Then a close-up of his sad expression as he continues to plead to the town people. The music gets louder and more dramatic.  It then fades as the camera focuses on the speaker.
  • Close-up of speaker, as she concludes the podcast.  Music is more peaceful and fades out. Sound effect of a "flip page" to signify the end of the podcast.
