Storyboard Text

  • Persephone is walking through the flower filled forest. She walks up to the lake to reflect the way she was, a goody tissues and innocent young goddess
  • The sun starts reflect in the water. She is now reminded of apollo, her uncle, the sun god. She starts to think to herself. She looks up to see Hades, The God of Death and fell instantly in love.
  • I'm never alone because my family are all gods of nature. She then looks up to see Hades, the God of Death.
  • Hades takes Persephone to the underworld with him to live with her. Her earthly body is no longer there and she is now the wife of Hades. Persephone starts to remember her once innocent self.
  • "I was abducted. wait no, that doesn't sound right. I went by will. But it was stupid of me to go.Ive changed so much
  • Scene 1-one summer she goes into the field as usual stopping for a bit at the pool where she often looks at herself, to see if she detects any changes. She sees the same person, the horrible mantle of daugterliness still clinging to her.
  • Persephone has now come back from the underworld after her mom pleads to Hades to allow her daughter to come back during 2 seasons. She goes back to the lake to remember how she once was and how she'll never be the same.
  • The sun seems, in the water, very close. That's my uncle spying again, she thinks-everything in nature is in some way her relative. I am never alone, she thinks, turning the thought into prayer. Then death appears, like the answer to a prayer. No one understands anymore how beautiful he was. But persephone remembers. Almost that he embraced her, right herewith her uncle watching. She remembers sunlight flashing on his bare arms.
  • Persephone is now thinking four words over and over. DEATH. HUSBAND. GOD. STRANGER. She reflects on her time of living and wonders if er prayers were answered or not.
  • Tis is the last moment she remembers clearly. Ten the dark God bore her away. She also remembers, less clearly, the chilling insight that from this moment she couldn't live without him again. The girl who disappears fro the pool will never return. A woman will return, looking for the girl she was.
  • She stands by the pool saying, from time to time, i was abducted, but it sounds wrong to her, nothing like hat she felt. Then she says i was not abducted. Then she says i offered myself, i wanted to escape my body. In, sometimes, i willed this. But ignorance cannot will knowledge. Ignorance ills something imagined, which it believes exists.
  • All the different nouns-she says them in rotation, Death, Husband, God, Stranger, Everything sounds so simple, so conventional, I must have been, she thinks, a simple girl. She can't remember herself as that person but she keeps thinking the pool will remember and explain to her the meaning o her prayer so she can understand whether it was answered or not.
