"Why is mother so demanding? Is it such a sin to be different from the rest of Hagem's citizens?"
Call to Adventure
"Another entity is living within you. Perhaps, you are a goddess?"
"Excuse me? That's impossible."
Initiation and Conflict 1
A disgruntled girl named Bloo makes her way to the market, trudging along the paths of the crystal-encompassed Kingdom of Hagem. She sulks about being different from society and having no gem embedded within her skin. The absence of a gem also generates the absence of supernatural power, which often prompts Orynn, Bloo's mother, to mistreat her.
Conflicts 2 and 3
"You smell funky."
Bloo awakens in a medical office, recalling the moment of collapsing during her journey to the market. She is greeted by Azure, who concludes that Bloo is the reincarnation of the goddess and healer Freya-Juuva.
"The assumptions people make nowadays are absurd."
After an unexpected appointment at the medical office, Bloo explores the forest and meets a pixie. The mystical being grants her an amulet and reveals the true appearance of Freya-Juuva. Awestruck at the goddess who seemingly bathed in her own valor, Bloo is suddenly pulled back to reality. She encounters an injured fawn, who she effortlessly heals.
Bloo returns home, eager to unearth answers. Unaware of her drunk mother's presence, she finds a hurtful farewell letter from her father when rummaging through Orynn's private items. Enraged, Orynn pours alcohol all over Bloo and shoves a large amount down her throat. Using her powers, Orynn intensifies the effects of the consumed liquor to an extreme.
"How could I ever love something so inferior?"
"Bloo, what in the world are you doing?"
Soon after her mother's abuse, Bloo realizes that she is going to die from the amplified effects of the liquor within her. Disregarding the situation, she gives up as the wind whispers her name, causing a hefty alcohol bottle to totter. She analyzes the shards of glass now on the floor and within her skin. As Bloo heals herself, she notices two rosy gems on her hands.
The next morning, Orynn is gone. Bloo frets over the possible opinions others may have of her redesign, recalling her second rendezvous with Azure at a cafe. Annihilating ungratefulness from her mind, Bloo is aware that Freya-Juuva serves a major role in her ability to aid others. More importantly, she understands that self-acceptance is an endless journey.
