This darn box means so much
Everyone in the town was anxiously waiting for the slips to be drawn, everyone was praying that them or their family didn't get choosen. Being a lottery, it was all up to chnace which made the scene tense.
After Tessie "won" the lottery, she got her prize, a stoning from her friends and family!
