In Israel, a moabite woman named Aliyah sits in a shack with her 7 children including her newborn. The room is filled with silent children who don't even have the energy to speak as they are so hungry. This is her story...
Hmm...I wonder how the children are.
How are you today Aliyah?
Each day, Aliyah's husband would walk a total of 8 miles to go to fields and back. He would glean the fields and get lots of crops for the whole family.
Where is Aliyah, she hasn't been gleaning for a while.
Talia decided that each day she would walk 8 miles to deliver some food to Aliyah and her family.
That should be enough wheat for Aliyah and her family.
Every day, Aliyah would now go glean the fields and have her daily chat with her new friend, Talia. She always went home very exhausted however, she knew this was the only way her family would get food.
Talia noticed that Aliyah hadn't been in the fields lately and knew that there must be some reason that she isn't there.
Talia began to glean much more than she needed so that she would be able to give some to Aliyah.
