Martha lived with her husband Abraham and her mother in a small house in Israel. Martha and Abraham were happily married when one day Abraham passed away.
JOURNEY TO FIND A HUSBAND
Martha and her mother tried very hard to live a happy life again but soon realised that they were struggling. Martha realised that to survive and provide for her mother and herself, she would need to remarry.
Martha asked her mother for help to find a new husband and her mother was sad as she thought of it as a form of betraying Abraham but agreed to her decision because she knew it was their best option. Martha and her mother then went out to find a new husband for Martha.
JOURNEY TO JORAN
Martha and her mother asked many relatives and friends if they new anyone who would marry Martha and no one did. One day one of Martha's aunties told them that she knew a man named Noah that wanted a wife, however Martha needs to show him that she is trustworthy and that she had to move to Jordan.
Martha saw that her mother was upset, so she asked what was wrong. Martha's mother said that she could not move to Jordan as she has lived in Israel for her whole life but still wanted Martha to go. Martha understood this and started her journey to Jordan.
On the way to Jordan, Martha told herself that she would do anything she could to help this new town and be accepted as one of their own people. When Martha arrived, she saw a man sitting under a tree, where she was told Noah would be waiting. They then had a conversation and Noah knew she would be loyal and told her she can marry him.
