Hello Everyone. Today we will be talking about your contributions to cell theory.
Now as you all know, cell theory is made up of three different things. All organisms are composed of one or more cells. Cell theory also says that cells are the basic unit and structure and function of life and that cells come from preexisting cells.
I will go first. I am Robert Hooke. I contributed to cell theory by naming cells. What would you be calling cell theory if not for me?
I am next and my name is Robert Brown. I contributed to cell theory by discovering the nucleus.
I am Matthias Schleiden. I co-founded cell theory. I discovered that all animals are made of cells.
I am Theodor Schwann. I contributed to cell theory by defining cells as the basic unit of plants
Lastly, I am Rudolf Virchow. I discovered the part of cell theory that says that cells come from preexisting cells.
Thank you Hooke, Brown, Schwann, Schleiden, and Virchow for sharing your many contributions to the amazing cell theory.
