In Tulsa, Oklahoma, Ponyboy Curtis is introduced as he is leaving the movies when Socs, members of a rival gang, jump him. He is saved when a group of fellow Greasers comes to his rescue.
Johnny kills a Soc to protect his friend. This forces Johnny and Ponyboy to flee. Johnny and Ponyboy take refuge in an old church. One day the church catches fire with young children inside. Johnny and Pony save them, but Johnny is badly injured.
Paper Due Next Tuesday!!
When I stepped out into the bright sunlight from the darkness of the movie house, I had only two things on my mind: Paul Newman and a ride home.
After the rumble Pony and Dally raced to hospital just in time to see Johnny die. none of the Greasers took it well, but dally was the worst he was so sad he purposefully had the police kill him.
Dallas dies, and Ponyboy fell unconscious and wakes up after several days, at home. he starts to recover physically but not so much mentally.
In the end, Ponyboy recovers from the emotional and physical trauma that has occurred. The book ends with Ponyboy writing the opening line.
My favorite part is when they have the rumble against the socs. it is my favorite part because i like the action of the fighting.
