Don't leave me Johnny...
In the book the main character is Ponyboy, a greaser who's enemy are the Socs. In the beginning of the book Ponyboy is leaving the movie theater when he realizes he didn't have a ride home. So he decides to walk home alone and ends up being jumped by a group of Socs.
Let's get 'em!
Ponyboy and Johnny were coming back from lunch with Dally when they saw lots of smoke and a big fire coming from the church where they were living! They saw that small kids were trapped in the burning church so they went in and rescued them. Then a burning piece of timber fell on Johnny's back injuring him!
If only Johnny and Dally were here...
Sadly, Johnny wasn't getting any better in fact he was getting worse! After the rumble Dally and Ponyboy raced to the hospital and while they were there Johnny passed away...
The falling action in the book was the rumble, a fight between the Greaser's and the Socs, they decided to use only their fists, no weapons aloud. The best part of the rumble was when the Socs surrendered, the Greaser's had won!
In the end, life was back to being somewhat normal because Dally and Johnny had died. Ponyboy's english teacher told him he could choose the writing prompt and that was how he wrote the book!
My favorite part in the book was when, Ponyboy reunites with his two brothers Sodapop and Darry. Its an emotional scene but it has a happy ending because they are all together again!
