Weathering is the process in which rock materials are broken down by the action of physical and chemical processes
Erosion is the process by which wind, water, ice, or gravity transport weathered material from one place to another.
Deposition occurs when eroded materials are dropped or laid down. Deposition is the process in which sediments, soil, and rocks are added to a landmass.
Agents of Erosion
Chemical weathering is the breakdown and decomposition of rocks through a chemical process.
Physical weathering is the mechanical breakdown of rocks into smaller pieces.
The four agents of erosion are water, ice, wind, and gravity.
